I knew I was getting Blackstone Fortress as soon as it came out. The
figures looked cool and I liked the idea behind the game. I manged to
get them all built within a week of buying it, and it's taken me several
weeks to get it all painted up. Games Workshop figures sure have a lot
of detail...
And the "hostiles"...
Unaligned Hostiles.
I painted the Chaos forces to match the color scheme of my cultists from the Assassinorum: Execution Force set.
Glad to have this set done, it took a lot of time and a bit of luck- I had three inclement weather days which I used for painting. I haven't played yet, but hope to get a game in within the week.
Fantastic paint jobs on all the models! It's hard to pick favourites. I do really like the antique gold look of the spindle drones, reminds me of a Victorian War of the Worlds aesthetic. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks, they do have that Victorian look. I did a lot of VSF several years ago :)
DeleteThose are lovely, I really like your take on these.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWow, great work! Mine are all still sitting happily on their sprues.
ReplyDeleteSounds like my Rogue Trader: Kill Team set. They're happy because the have a good chance of being safe for a while :)
DeleteHardcore Dr. M, fantastic work!
ReplyDeleteImpressive! Great work :)
ReplyDeleteThank you sir, as always the pain is worth it in the end :)
DeleteBall'n effort! Snow days always help push a big project through. ;)
ReplyDeleteThey sure do, I was happy to have them, even more than my kids :)
DeleteGreat work! That white beastman is a particular standout for me, very well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, he was one of the first ones I painted and is probably my favorite of the hostiles.
DeleteHm.. Blogger.com failed to connect? Second try then!
ReplyDeleteAs I was saying...
Amazing to see that you've finished the entire boxed set so quickly, not to mention the fantastically high quality on each of the individual models. Quite a feat - kudos to you, sir!
