Some pictures of the raiders I painted for the Frozen Expanse project.
The bodies are Victoria Miniatures (male and female winter troopers),
with various bits and greenstuff additions. Heads come from a Meridian
Miniatures Kickstarter from a few years ago, some from MaxMini, plus one
from the Northstar Frostgrave cultists.
Most excellent models and pictures!
ReplyDeleteYour conversion work makes it look as if it should have always been part of the miniature in the first place, which are the best kind of conversions imho!
Thanks!
DeleteVery nice conversion work: they've come up really nicely!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThose are really nice!
ReplyDeleteMan, these are fantastic! :O
ReplyDeleteI really like the vibe and the whole execution. Nicely done!
Thanks, I wanted these guys to have a different 'feel' than the others.
DeleteExcellent. I really like the look of the Victoria Miniatures stuff (and I own several of her figures) but I'm always put off by the thought of multipart resin kits. You show what is possible with them though....!
ReplyDeleteTruth told I really don't care much for multipart modular resin figures either, they take a lot of effort and gluing them together is a real hassle. In fact was already considering getting rid of some other multi-part miniatures I have been saving because of this project ;)
DeleteVery nice indeed! It must be the strong concept, but all the parts really come together.
ReplyDeleteThanks, these were a fun build.
DeleteBrilliant conversions & excellent subtle but atmospheric colour choices.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pawn :)
DeleteCould you describe/post about how you built the board for the Frozen Expanse? It looks great!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I didn't see this until now. It's essentially a board with three 'ridges' of plaster to represent drifts that I can place figures behind, covered with white paint mixed with snow scenic effects. Next time I have it set up I'll take some other shots to show the set up.
Deleteimpressive work,really.. ew
