Rogue Trader Space Orks
These old Rogue Trader era Space Orks were painted a few years ago, photographed by request. Not quite sure why I didn't base them with a spaceship/industrial look...
The eyes -on the one's that can be seen- are really sinister! I've not seen Orks with normal pupils before. Very effective. Their all top shelf Mathias :)
I have 1500 points worth all told in 2nd ed 40K terms, though the warboss and his retinue are (shamefully) half painted so I haven't photographed them yet. Also I have a lot of the 2nd ed plastic gretchin which I haven't painted yet in the army.
My project for the first half of 2017 was to finish painting them all, and add another few bikes, wartraks, and buggies, abd another squad of boyz to push it up to 2000 points (which is what we normally play. That is still the plan, but I have been distracted (of course!!) by a Warhammer 5th edition (Herohammer) Empire army....
Thanks for the links, I really like the Blood Axes, I don't think I have seen anyone use a color scheme like that. Great yellows on the Moons too, they look proper 2nd edition.
Thanks .... I was trying to do a mix of realistic military drab colours contrasted with stupidly bright 1990s Games Workshop elements. I am pretty happy with how it worked out.
Love the skin tones! A nice change from green.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I wanted to use the skin color of the Mangalores from 5th element.

DeleteVery cool. I have an army of these figures myself and they are lots of fun. You've done a great job on these ones.
ReplyDeleteThank you, do you have a link to a photo of yours?
DeleteHere you go! (below) :)
