A veritable cornucopia of miniature delights and exotic vistas to delight the eye
Two ne'er-do-wells I kitbashed a couple months ago. Mal and Droyt take advantage of pious fools by selling them 'genuine' relics of Imperial Saints.
Fantastic conversion! Bloke will need to be careful that the local Arbites don’t get a whiff of his illegal trade
Thanks! He'd be in trouble with the Ecclesiarchy too ;)
Excellent- very appropriate and characterful.
Thanks! Fun build :)
Oh, I love them, that's pure genius! The mere concept is awesome, but the conversions and paintjob are mind blowing. Fantastic work.
Thanks! The little relics were a little rushed, but what can ya do?
Psssssst. Genuine saint bordo finger bones. The authorities wish to keep all it's protection versus ills for themselves. You, madam, look like you could benefit from some protection for poor fortune.
What a glorious avalanche of posts! These are very characterful conversions.
Hehehe, procrastination is what its called :)Thanks sir!
Hey Dr. Mathias, I was wondering what paints and methods you used to paint up the Eisenkern Stormtroopers on Wargames Atlantic?Specifically: https://images.beastsofwar.com/2020/08/Eisenkern-Stormtroopers-1-Wargames-Atlantic-1024x587.jpgI'm a complete newb at painting so I can't really deduce what paints were used. Sorry if this request isn't in the right place, I just don't know where else to ask.Thank you!
Hello,No problem :)I prime them black from below, gray from above. I use an airbrush. That's not really necessary, but it saves time. You could just brush on primer or use an automotive primer like Dupli-Color.My main color for the Eisenkern is Vallejo 991 "Dark Sea Gray" Which I use to paint all the panels and plates, leaving the seams dark. I often use a light wash too at this point, like Games Workshop 'Nuln Oil'. Then the Dark Sea Gray again, Dark Sea Gray with about 50% white added, adding a little white for each new layer, leaving some of the darker colors in the recesses, the underside of armor, etc. Black spots like the softer places between plates are just a darker gray, washed with the black, and highlighted up a little.Hope that helps!
Howdy,Thank you so much! I can't wait to paint them up!I'll let you know if they turn out well or not :p
Sounds good! If you have Instagram, tag me in the pic. #drmathias will likely find my account.
He will be lucky to be caught by the arbites! The Inquisition would love to make a servo unit out of his sort!Great conversions Matt.
Thanks Syrinx! Hope to catch up in person again some day!
